Inside their bobo-chic cake shop nested within the streets of St Placide, a couple is redesigning French pâtisseries as you know them.
There are no millefeuilles or tartelettes au citron on offer here. This shining bright bakery – Colorova means multicoloured in Polish – is the place where Charlotte and Guillaume give their twist on classic recipes to create modern delicacies.
After careful designing and planning, their shop is now packed with locals and tourists who come to feast on anything from a fig and gorgonzola quiche to a black sesame and lemon-cream tart.
Charlotte Parry-Laws invited Charlotte and Guillaume into the studio to find out what makes Colorova a place like no other in Paris.
